These Guys

I thought it about time I share these guys with you.

so if you read 'A Special Thank You' you know there was along stretch of time where I couldn't draw and it might have made it seem like I just kind of picked up where I had left off skill wise. that's completely not true. yeah, I did say that I continued to learn through visualization and observation and that true, but there are just certain things you can only learn through doing. some of the art I've uploaded on here has come out looking like I banged it out in ten minuets when in reality it took me hours. probably the worst one was "he's complicated" that one took me like 2 or 3 days just doing nothing but working on it. In fact my whole life since I started drawling again has pretty much been me struggling to get some very basic skills up to where they should be. I've tried to play it down because A.) it's kinda embarrassing for some reason >///< and B.) I don't want it to sound like my drawings were somehow an inconvenience to do, because it isn't at all. I love my art! I love to draw! even if it takes a incredibly disproportionate amount of work to finish, it's totally worth it. but the reason I'm admitting this now is because I think I'm finally over the worst of that hump. YAY! and I think I can blame a lot of that on these guys here!

so, a while ago now posted this her children of 's children of Helga and Arnold from 'Hey Arnold!' omg! so of course I was inspired! long story short I ended up with these 5. originally I set out to make these guys as a joke but I completely fell in love with them as I was making them. so I decided rather then just putting them aside and trying my best to forget them I would use them for practice... posing practice, expression practice, character development, back story- pretty much everything really. they really helped me out a lot! needless say I'm very attached to them and hope to find a bigger purpose for them one day. (though honestly, I can't see how with some of them.)

I'm totally going to have to color this at some point...

okay. from left to right. here we've got Eric (he's a Zophie child. long story. don't ask. the rest of them are Phara children) then Madrid, the twins Ingrid and Ilsa, and Granette.
